Celebrating Arts, Culture, and Community
San Gabriel’s culture is more than what is read in history books. It’s alive and ours!
The San Gabriel Valley Symphony now calls the Mission Playhouse home. As Mayor, I voted to welcome them. Founded in memory of the Monterey Park victims, they give free tickets to local families — and our public school students play right beside the professionals.
The Mission Playhouse has hosted this city's recitals, graduations, and weddings since 1927. Next year it turns 100 — and we approved a strategic plan to preserve it for future generations.
Dumpling & Beer Fest turned 10 — attracting visitors from across the region who will support our local businesses.
Our second Lantern Festival brought thousands to Plaza Park, with displays shipped from Taiwan at no cost to the city.
Día de los Muertos honored those who have passed away — three altars, including one for those lost to cancer, and one for our pets.
